The Streetscapes Committee addresses issues related to the safety of the streets and sidewalks along major thoroughfares in the KNU neighborhood. Specifically, the committee focuses on the evaluation and planning of additional sidewalks, streetlights or signage that would enhance the safety of pedestrians walking in the neighborhood. In February 2008, KNU completed its largest "streetscapes" project to date - - the completion of modern sidewalks on the north side of W. Colorado Blvd., all the way from Turner to Kessler Parkway at Stvens Park Golf Course.  This long, continuous stretch of sidewalks along Kessler Park's principal artery (W. Colorado Blvd.), all paid for by the voluntary contributions of Kessler Park neighbors, now makes it possible for walkers, joggers, skaters, and baby buggies to safely traverse the neighborhood without once having to step out onto W. Colorado Blvd.  The committee is now evaluating the feasibility of installing historic street lamps along Colorado.
