Annual
Fall Tour of Homes
Each fall, the Old Oak Cliff Conservation District League,
OOCCL, sponsors what has been to referred to as "Dallas' largest
open house", The Old Oak Cliff Conservation District League's
Annual Fall Tour of Homes. The home tour is OOCCL’s primary
fundraising event and directly funds the Neighborhood Grant Program.
A successful home tour enables OOCCL to give back to the Oak Cliff
Community.

Every year a number of business sponsors are needed to underwrite
the home tour. Tour sponsors receive significant media exposure
in printed material, in the homes and on www.ooccl.com.
Sponsorship of the home tour puts your business’ name in front of
thousands of Oak Cliff Residents and tour patrons.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the home tour and of the League.
Without dedicated volunteers none of our programs would be possible.
It takes over 125 volunteers to ensure a successful tour.
Home Tour Committees:
The Home Selection Committee is responsible for finding
the homes/properties to be featured on the tour. We’d like have
someone on this committee who is adept with a digital camera to
assist with the home presentation during the September meeting.
The Social Events Committee is responsible for planning
the pre tour party for homeowners & sponsors and planning the September
general membership meeting which features the home tour presentation.
The Advertising Committee is responsible for articles,
public service announcements and coordinating advertising with the
brochure publisher.
The Volunteers Committee is responsible for coordinating
volunteers for the days of the home tour (porch sitters, ticket
sales at the pavilion and staffing runners for the days of the tour
to deliver items to home liaisons and porch sitters).
In addition to the committee staff, ten home liaisons are
needed. A home liaison is responsible for coordinating with the
homeowner to make sure the owner’s needs and wishes are met. |

the program, see the
