The Dallas Plan Commission unanimously approved the proposed Conservation District ordinance for the Kessler Neighbors area. One change was made during the CPC hearing: the Kessler Lake addresses were removed from the district boundaries and will not be affected by a conservation ordinance. |

| Next Steps |
(1) A second balloting opportunity. The city will mail a second set of ballots to all affected Kessler residents in early May 2005. This second round of balloting (which is required by law) will take place from about May 16 through May 24, and will give everyone a second opportunity to cast a vote - - to either reaffirm or to change his/her prior vote from the April 2005 balloting. Even if you failed to vote in April, you may still cast your vote in May. |

(2) The ordinance will be presented to City Council on May 25, 2005. If approved by the Council, the new city ordinance will issue and the Kessler Conservation District will go into effect immediately. |
