The KNU Annual Picnic
is an all volunteer event attended by approximately 150-200
residents and occurs the first Sunday in June from 4-7 P.M. at Roberts
Forest on the Kessler Park United Methodist Church grounds ("Roberts Forest" is on Turner, two blocks north of Colorado Blvd.). |

Since this is a "pot luck" supper, attendees are requested, if possible, to bring
either a side dish or dessert to share. This culinary showcase is
testament to the diverse backgrounds of our residents. As a special
thank you, the KNU Neighborhood Association provides chicken and
old fashioned hot dogs grilled on site as well as beverages. Our neighbor Mike Lott is our "master grill'n chef." |
Activities typically have included face painting, balloon art, children's
games, and music. This is truly a multi-generational event and provides
a casual setting for long time residents and newcomers to meet and
mingle.
