The KNU Annual Picnic is an all volunteer event attended by approximately 200 residents each year and occurs the first Sunday in June (June 7th this year) from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roberts Forest on the grounds of Kessler Park United Methodist Church ("Roberts Forest" is the beautiful wooded area on Turner, two blocks north of West Colorado Blvd.).

Since this is a "pot luck" picnic, attendees are requested, if possible, to bring either a side dish or dessert to share. This culinary showcase is testament to the diverse backgrounds of our residents. As a special thank you, the KNU neighborhood association provides chicken and old fashioned hot dogs grilled on site as well as beverages.  Our neighbor Wayne Parker is our "master grill'n chef."

Activities typically have included face painting, balloon art, children's games, and music. This is truly a multi-generational event and provides a casual setting for long time residents and newcomers to meet and mingle.
